Furniture made
a little differently.

We work mainly in metal, but we're not interested in making it look industrial.

FORVALE creates chairs, beds, tables and one-off pieces with good lines, proper materials and plenty of character.

The Idea

Metal doesn't have to look industrial.

Metal is strong, permanent and practical. But it doesn't have to be straight, heavy or cold. We bend it, shape it and work detail into it until it becomes something with a bit more life about it.

Some FORVALE pieces are loose and organic. Others borrow from traditional ironwork. Some are deliberately simple. What connects them is the material, the way they're made and the fact they don't look like everything else.

Furniture

Things we've made.

Chairs, beds, tables and pieces that don't necessarily need a category. Each design starts with what suits the piece rather than what furniture is supposed to look like.

Good furniture should have something about it.

We like furniture that earns its place in a room. Not because it shouts for attention, but because somebody has clearly thought about the shape, the material and the details.

That's what we try to put into every FORVALE piece. Nothing overly complicated. Just strong materials, interesting ideas and furniture with character.

In the Workshop

Made by hand.

Working by hand means every piece carries small differences. Curves aren't copied by a machine. Details are shaped individually. Finishes develop their own character.

We don't try to remove every sign that a person made it. That's part of the point.

Bespoke

Something of your own.

Some of the best pieces start with little more than an idea. You might have a particular space to fill, something you've never quite been able to find, or simply a rough idea of what you like. We can work from there.

From beds built around unusual rooms to one-off chairs, tables and completely original pieces, FORVALE commissions are made around the person and the place they are going into.

Made for real homes.

Old houses. New houses. Country kitchens. Townhouses. Rooms that are beautifully finished and rooms that are still a work in progress.

FORVALE furniture isn't designed for a showroom. It's designed to live somewhere.
